Uses of Lotilaner
Lotilaner is a broad-spectrum insecticide and tickicide used to treat fleas and ticks on dogsjakissat.

Method of application
Oral application, supplied as chewable tablets.
Dosage and administration
Lotilaner is available as an oral treatment for dogs and cats, with dosage determined by your pet’s type and body weight. Please ensure you weigh your pet and only use the product intended for their species and size.
Chewable can be offered directly to your pet, added to food or placed directly in the animal’s mouth. Lotilaner must be administered to your pet with food or within 30 minutes of feeding.
A single dose of Lotilaner kills existing adult fleas and ticks and provides residual protection against newly emerged fleas and ticks for one month.
Treatment with Lotilaner can be started at any time of year and may be continued year-round without interruption.
Possible side effects
Side effects are rare, but adverse reactions reported in dogs treated with Lotilaner include weight loss, elevated blood urea nitrogen, excessive urination, and diarrhea.
Information on side effects in cats treated with Lotilaner has not been made available.
Precautions
Do not use with dogs under 8 weeks of age or weighing less than 3 pounds (1.3 kg).
Do not use with cats under 8 weeks of age or weighing less than 1 pound (0.5 kg).
The safe use of Lotilaner with pregnant, breeding or lactating animals has not been established.
Use with caution in animals with a history of seizures or neurologic disorders. Seizures have been reported in animals treated with the isoxazoline family of drugs, which includes Lotilaner.
As parasites must feed on the host to become exposed to Lotilaner, the transmission of infectious parasite-borne diseases cannot be excluded.
Signs of toxicity
There is limited information available on Lotilaner toxicity.
