To prevent licking, the proper method of administration is to apply the medicine on the animal’s neck, at the base of the skull.
Is Prinovox suitable for Cats and Dogs?
Prinovox is a brand suitable for use in cats, ferrets, and dogs. Prinovox for cats isn’t advisable for kittens under nine weeks old.
However, do not use on canaries and ensure to always use the specific products for specific animals. For example, “prinovox for dogs” shouldn’t be used for cats and vice versa.
Also, the product is not safe for lactating or breeding dogs and cats.
Dosage Schedule
How the doses are administered depends on the cat’s body weight. There are different packages for cats, ferrets, and dogs of different body weights.
Administration of the product comes with a few side effects. In cats, pruritus, vomiting, and erythema may occur. It may also cause local hypersensitivity reactions on the application site.
